Brussels Waffles


A variation of the waffle recipe that delivers light textured delicious results.


1 kg
white flour
1⁄2 oz
dry yeast
7 oz
3 c
milk (heated until lukewarm)
4 c
sparkling water
1 pn
eggs (beaten)
1 T
caster sugar


  1. In a large pot melt the butter, then add the milk and water.
  2. Add the eggs to the pot, then while stirring add the flour bit by bit.
  3. Beat with a whisk and add the sugar bit by bit while beating.
  4. Sprinkle the yeast in, stir the ingredients, then add the pinch of salt.
  5. Take off the heat and let the batter raise in warm place for half an hour.
  6. Heat a waffle iron with a little grease and cook the waffles one at a time.
  7. Serve with your own choice of toppings.
