Gourmet gifts are always appreciated. If we are thinking about the holiday season, the holiday meal – either Thanksgiving dinner, Divali, Hannukah, Christmas, Kwanzaa or New Years – is one of the most important parts of the day. So this year you can try to give something that will help in the kitchen - there is a great range of accessories out there to make preparing and serving a festive dinner part of the fun.- help to receive the guests – delicious treats, appetizers and nibbles or accessories to serve appetizers and nibbles - or help the guests enjoy the meal even more, or keep them entertained after dinner - with a tasty cheese board and after dinner table games.

We hope you will find inspiration in these treats:

  • Try some delicious treats such as a box of chocolates, fudge, marzipan, or turron. Food baskets are always welcomed and it is better when you make your own. You can even prepare your own treats with an international flavor, such as Greek chocolate balls or Greek butter cookies, or whole baskets of goodness and love, or simply Christmas food gift baskets, and the ideas suggested can be adapted to other holidays.
  • Make a really flavorful gift basket containing exotic spices, flavored vinegar, flavored oils, chutneys and relishes. Size and content will depend on your budget. If not a basket, you can always try a spice rack, we like the revolving type.
  • Cheese could be the theme for your food basket. From a gourmet selection of cheeses, bread, oatcakes and crackers, chutneys and pickles, to cheese knives and a cheese set.
  • Don't forget the traditional sparkling wine, paté and caviar.
  • Prepare a basket with a selection of nibbles similar to Tapas for Two Gift Basket or Gathering of Friends Gift Basket plus "Heart of Spain" Book. You could do the same with an Italian, Greek, German or Far East inspiration.
  • A selection of dried fruits and nuts, with a decorative tray and a special nutcracker such as a squirrel nutcracker or an olive wod screw type.

If you are looking for table and kitchen helpers:

  • Try some curious items such as a dip set, a brie baker, a garlic baker, or a turkey platter.
  • A small appliance such as a new slow cooker.
  • Knives are essential in the kitchen so every cook welcomes a new knife set, choose something bright.
  • Color coded chopping boards.
  • A set of whiskey tumblers or wine glasses.
  • Seasonal items.

For decoration, remember the festive house plants which include Poinsettia, Stephanotis, Cyclamen, Hyacinth and Azalea.
