How do you eat with chopsticks?

I am curious. I want to know how to eat with chopsticks and be able to eat Asian food the proper way.

  1. Place the bottom chopstick in the space between your thumb and index finger. Hold it steady.
  2. Hold the top chopstick with your thumb and index finger, let the side of the chopstick rest on top of your thumb.
  3. Move the top chopstick towards the bottom one. The bottom chopstick remains still.

Practice holding and moving the chopsticks, and then picking up small objects until you are skilled enough to pick up food.
