Some blenders can be used as mini food processors.

Blenders are a similar type of equipment as a liquidizer with some added functions such as shredding or mixing.

A hand blender is a baton-shaped kitchen tool powered by a motor and with a set of blades on one end. These blades mix, blend, whip, emulsify, chop, crush and grind function as that of a regular blender, a do-it-all kitchen gadget.

From the accessories included with the blender, the most useful probably are the high beaker where you can mix liquids without splashing around -better if it comes with a lid- and the mini-chopper to mince small amounts of garlic, parsley and other herbs.
