Steaming is healthier than boiling or frying; less nutrients are lost and the food does not absorb any fat, there are no added calories.
Steam all kinds of food: vegetables, rice, pasta, fish, seafood, meat. An electronic steamer makes this easy. Most of them can start cooking immediately, or delay cooking up to twelve hours. An electronic steamer can turn off automatically when cooking is finished, or keep food warm while the rest of the meal is being prepared.
