A type of white sauce with cheese as an extra ingredient. Flavor varies with the type of cheese added.
It is eays to find ready made. It can also have more than one type of cheese, as in three or four cheese sauce.
To make a quick cheese sauce, mix 2 cups of milk, 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 heaped tablespoons of flour in a saucepan. Heat over medium heat whisking continuously until the sauce thickens. Lower the heat and simmer for 5-10 minutes. Remove the sauce from the heat and add up to 1 cup grated cheese and stir until the cheese melts.
