herbs de Provence

For the herbes de Provence, mix together crushed dried leaves of winter savory, thyme, rosemary, basil, tarragon, and other herbs to taste. There are nearly as many mixes as chefs in France; some even add dried flowers.

There is one example recipe for herbs de Provence withing the spice mixes and pastes: 1 tsp dried thyme; 1 tsp dried rosemary; 1 tsp dried savory; 1/2 tsp dried oregano; 1/2 tsp dried bay leaves, crushed; 1/2 tsp dried basil.
