Seasonal stuffing helps to vary the flavor of any roast. Apple and onion stuffing is a perfect choice for the colder months.
2 onion (chopped)
1 1⁄2 t butter
3⁄4 c bread crumbs (fresh, white bread)
2 apple (peeled, cored and chopped)
2 T parsley (fresh parsley, finely chopped)
1 egg (beaten)
1⁄4 c broth (chicken or turkey broth)
- Heat butter in a pan and cook the onions until soft but not brown. Allow to cool.
- Stir in the rest of the ingredients.
- Season to taste.
- Use it to stuff the meat, or bake on the side.
To bake the stuffing on the side, estimate 45 minutes at 350°F
