Description
Quick and easy to prepare and just a little of stuffing makes any roast dinner like a Holiday dinner.
Ingredients
1 apple (large cooking apple, peeled, cored and chopped)
1⁄2 lb sausage (or ground pork)
seasoning (salt and pepper to taste)
2 t herbs (dried, a mix of your choice)
Instructions
- Place all ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
- Use this mixture to fill the neck end of the bird.
- Alternatively, shape into balls and cook in an oven pan, in a rack under the roast, for 30-40 minutes.
Notes
Use a mix of dried herbs to taste, parsley, thyme, sage, lemon balm or more.
Use the stuffing before there is any discoloration in the apple.
