Chocolate spread


At breakfast or tea time, toasted bread with chocolate spread is delicious and it is easy to do your own chocolate spread at home.


6 oz chocolate (dark cooking chocolate, broken into pieces)
3⁄4 c butter (softened)
2⁄3 c milk (condensed milk)
1⁄4 c hazelnuts (ground)


  1. Heat butter and condensed milk in the microwave at 800 w for 2 minutes.
  2. Add chocolate pieces and microwave at 800 w for 2  and a half minutes.
  3. Stir the chocolate into the milk and butter mixture until a smooth paste is achieved.
  4. Mix in ground hazelnuts.
  5. Allow to cool down and refrigerate until use.


It too sweet use unsweetened condensed milk or a mix of sweet and unsweetened condensed mil.

If using milk cooking chocolate, use unsweetened condensed milk.
