Finnish creamy potatoes

Description

Try this easy to cook and delicious side dish. Nearly everyone likes potatoes, the creamier, the better.

Ingredients

4 potato (medium, thinly sliced)
1 pn nutmeg (ground)
1 t salt
1⁄2 t pepper (white pepper)
1 T parsley (fresh leaves, finely chopped)
1 1⁄2 c cream (light cream)

Instructions

  1. Place potatoes, cream and nutmeg in a heavy saucepan. Heat to boiling point.
  2. Reduce heat to very low and simmer 20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  3. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle chopped parsley on top.

Notes

Serve as a warm and comforting appetizer or side dish.

Do not let the potatoes dry, add a little more cream, if necessary, or cover partially while cooking.
