Green Mexican salsa

Description

A sauce with green tomatoes and green serrano chili.

Ingredients

3 chili pepper (serrano chili, green)
2 c tomatillo (tomatillos, husk removed, chopped if used raw)
2 T onion (chopped)
1⁄2 t salt
1 pn sugar
3 T coriander (fresh leaves, finely chopped)

Instructions

  1. Place chili, green tomato, onion, salt and sugar in the blender. Process until pureed.
  2. Add chopped coriander just before serving.

Notes

If the sauce is too thick, add a little boiled water.

This recipe can also be prepared with roasted green tomatoes, onion, and green serrano chili.
