Pour this warming drink into mugs and enjoy after a walk in the cold winter air. One of many drinks to warm up in the chilly months.
- In a large saucepan, heat the apple cider, or apple juice, until hot but not yet boiling.
- Add sugar, cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, apple slices and spice bag
- Simmer for about 5-10 minutes. Then stir in the Calvados.
- Remove the spice bag and cinnamon pieces before serving.
If you love the cinnamon flavor, add a second cinnamon stick.
Cider is low alcohol but you can easily make an alcohol free version substituting apple cider with apple juice.
