A yogurt based drink from the Punjab region in India that has become very popular. A lassi is refreshing and compliments spicy food.
- Mix all ingredients in the blender until all fruit bits have been pureed and the drink is frothy.
- Serve in tall glasses with a few ice cubes or crushed ice.
Chill all ingredients before preparing the drink.
For a savory lassi, mix 2/3 cup of plain yogurt with 1/3 cup water and a pinch of salt. Serve in a tall glass with ice cubes or crushed ice. Garnish with toasted cumin seeds and finely chopped fresh coriander.
