Mexican fresh tomato sauce

Description

This sauce can be prepared with a chunky texture, known as salsa cruda, or made into a purée, either coarse or smooth.konwn as salsa fresca. It is a great accomapniment for virtually any Mexican dish, particularly tacos or tostadas.

Ingredients

6 tomato (medium sized, finely chopped)
2 chili pepper (green chili, fresh or canned, finely chopped)
  salt (to taste)

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients.
  2. Alternatively, purée with a blender, if you wish.
  3. Serve or, better, refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.

Notes

The chunky texture of salsa cruda is the most common.
