Nut, date and orange salad

Description

A delicious salad with North African flavor.

Ingredients

1 hd lettuce (wahsed and roughly chopped)
2 orange (peeled and sliced)
3⁄4 c dates (fresh, pitted and halved)
1⁄4 c walnut (shelled nuts, chopped)
1 lemon (the juice)
1 T sugar (brown)
  cinnamon (ground)
  seasoning (salt and white pepper)

Instructions

  1. Place chopped lettuce in a salad bowl. Layer orange slices over the lettuce and then dates and chopped nuts.
  2. In a small bowl, mix lemon juice, sugar, orange blossom water, salt and pepper with a fork. Pour this dressing over the salad.
  3. Sprinkle ground cinnamon over the salad.

Notes

Refreshing and very low in saturated fat.
