Pear jam makes a nice spread for breakfast or snack and easy to prepare. Just follow the recipe.
2 T lemon juice (natural or bottled)
1 pk pectin (1/2 oz package)
5 c sugar
- Stir together the pears, lemon juice, and pectin into a 6 quart pot.
- Bring to a boil over high heat. Stir constantly. Quickly add the sugar. Bring to a rolling boil and boil hard for 1 minute, stir constantly.
- Remove from heat skip foam off top.
- Can or allow cooling before using.
Be creative and use pear jam to flavor other recipes.
