Rhubarb Ketchup

Description

Goes well with steaks, pork or veal chops, chicken, onion rings, wild game, salmon.

Ingredients

3 onion (medium sized, chopped)
1 c vinegar (white vinegar)
1 c brown sugar (packed)
1 c sugar
1 cn tomato (diced tomatoes, undrained, 28 oz can)
32 t salt
1 t cinnamon
1 t mixed spice (pickling spices)
4 c rhubarb (diced rhubarb, fresh or frozen)

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients together in a large heavy bottom sauce pan.
  2. Simmer 1 hour, until desired thickness.
  3. Allow to cool.

Notes

Another sauce for the pantry.
