Pumpkin damper

Description

A pumpkin version of the Australian bread.

Ingredients

35 oz
self raising flour
1⁄2 t
salt
2 1⁄5 oz
butter
3 c
mashed pumpkin
1⁄3 c
water

Instructions

  1. Stir flour into the salt then do the same with the butter.
  2. Make a well and add the pumpkin and water and knead the mixture into a dough.
  3. Cut into two half then place both on a greased baking tray.
  4. Cut a cross 1/2 deep across both tops.
  5. Bake in a hot oven fr 10 minutes then in a reduced heat for a further 20.
