Chicken wiht 40 cloves of garlic, a classic recipe for the oven that comes out just as good from the slow cooker, or crock pot.
- Place the 40 cloves of garlic in your crock pot. Season the chicken with salt and pepper and lay it on top of the garlic.
- Pour the broth over the chicken.
- Cover and cook in the low setting for 6-8 hours.
- To serve, slice the chicken and transfer to a serving plate. Squeeze the soft, cooked garlic into a small bowl - no skin - and serve on the side, as a spread, with toasted bread
