Dulce de leche brownies

A dulce de leche brownie is like a regular brownie but with a twist. Imagine caramel swirled into your favorite brownie mix. That's dulce de leche, a super sweet and sticky treat made from milk.

Ingredients

1 c butter (unsalted butter melted and cooled)
1 c sugar (granulated sugar)
1 c brown sugar (packed light brown sugar)
3 egg (large)
1 c flour (all purpose flour)
1⁄2 c cocoa (unsweetened cocoa powder)
1⁄2 t salt
1 c milk (dulce de leche)

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350ºF. Grease and flour an 8x8 inch baking pan.

In a large bowl, cream together the butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla.

In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.

Stir in the dulce de leche.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Let cool completely before cutting into squares and serving.

Notes

When you bake it, you get a gooey, chocolatey brownie with streaks of caramel. It's like the best of both worlds in one bite.
